Why go?

Step off the beaten track and undertake a transformative 7-day foot expedition through the heart of the Moroccan Sahara. It is a genuine deep-desert immersion designed for adventurous hikers and nature lovers seeking total disconnect.

Tour Highlights

Day 01 :
Merzouga Gateway to the Northern Dunes

Meet your expedition leader, camel handlers, and desert cook in Merzouga. Pack your daypack while gear is secured onto the camel caravan. Set off on foot in the late afternoon into the northern edge of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at your secluded mobile camp for a traditional tagine dinner beneath the night sky

Day 02 :
Traversing the Giant Dunes of Erg Chebbi

Start walking at sunrise to beat the midday heat. Ascend sweeping dune ridges offering 360-degree views of the infinite sand sea. Pause for a fresh midday lunch and tea prepared in the shade of a desert tamarisk tree before continuing to a high-dune wild camp.

Day 03 :
Transition to the Black Desert & Nomadic Lands

Descend from the high sand crests onto the dramatic flat stone plains (reg). Learn how desert travelers navigate by natural landmarks, cross dry wadis (riverbeds), and set up camp among ancient acacia trees.

Day 04 :
Deep Wilderness Trek toward Ouzina

A rewarding, challenging day trekking along remote trails rarely visited by tourists. Experience the absolute silence of the Sahara, surrounded by multi-colored mountains, golden sand corridors, and rugged rocky shelves.

Day 05 :
Nomadic Encounters & Ancient Mineral Trails

Hike across ancient dried lakebeds rich with marine fossils dating back hundreds of millions of years. Visit a semi-nomadic Berber family settlement to share tea and learn how indigenous Saharan communities find water and maintain herds in hyper-arid landscapes.

Day 06 :
The Southern Dunes & Celebration at Luxury Camp

Trek back toward the dramatic southern curves of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy an expansive final sunset hike over the ridge before reaching a fully-equipped luxury desert camp for a hot shower, a feast of Moroccan specialties, and live campfire drumming.
